 Marc Mercuri | Marc Mercuri is currently an incubation architect in Microsoft’s Platform Strategy Group. Prior to taking this new role, he spent all of 2005 and 2006 providing architectural guidance to Global Fortune 500 customers adopting Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation, and InfoCard.
He has over 10 years of related integration experience, and nearly all of that time has been spent on systems and data integration projects in Europe, Latin America, and the United States. He has served as an architect and in lead roles in both the Enterprise and ISV space, spanning financial services, the public sector, and publishing and retail verticals. Over the course of his career, he has worked on projects that integrated the majority of OS (Sco Unix, Linux, Qnix, DOS, IBM OS/390) and database (SQL, DB2, Oracle, Sybase, Sybase ASA) platforms.
Marc has written a number of magazine articles on web services and the WS-* specifications, and is the author of the upcoming book Understanding Information Cards and CardSpace: From Novice to Professional and co-author of Windows Communication Foundation: Hands On! and WCF Unleashed.
